The project established and supported 13 training hubs in tertiary health facilities located in Federal Capital Territory, Gombe, Nassarawa, Benue, Ekiti, Lagos Enugu, Imo, Ebonyi, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross Rivers, Kaduna states, trained 130 national trainers, and over 8,600 health workers in Adult ART, Pediatric ART, PMTCT, HCT, TB/HIV and other trainings in Infectious diseases.
Worked with social welfare stakeholders including the National Universities Commission, Nigerian Association of Social Workers and Nigerian Association of Social Work Educators, to harmonize the training curriculum for Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work and development of the post graduate curriculum.
Two (2) curricula were developed for training of Community Health Extension Workers (CHEW) for New Service Delivery Models, as well as an integrated ART training component for CHEWs aimed at mitigating identified gap in basic ART knowledge among CHEWs and non-physicians engaged in HIV service delivery.
CCCRN with THIS (Twinning for Health Support Initiative) institutionalized OVC training for parasocial workers in Enugu and Benue States and trained 120 parasocial workers drawn from the Local Government OVC response units were trained through a 6 month field oriented training
Established a web based virtual learning platform to enhance capacity building for health care work force with accreditation by relevant health regulatory bodies to provide CME points on completion of stipulated modules.
