Strengthening Epidemic Response Systems (SERS)

On-Going

Working in a partnership with University of Maryland, the CDC funded project strengthened reporting systems for early detection and response for diseases of public health importance in 33 states of Nigeria. The project provided capacity building and technical assistance support to state epidemiology units and the National Reference laboratory, including support for molecular laboratories for viral disease detection.  The team supported NCDC in conducting the post Yellow fever simulation exercise to review and discuss timely, effective and coordinated responses to a large-scale public health emergency. (2015 – 2018).
